Hi, I'm Peta Stanley.
I built Discovery House so every educator — from first-year relief staff to seasoned educational leaders — can feel supported in creating meaningful activities and extending play through a holistic lens.
A career spent in real rooms
I've led the whole picture of an education and care service, not just one corner of it. Across my career I've worked as a Director, a Kindergarten teacher, a Nominated Supervisor and an Educational Leader in OSHC — so I know firsthand the juggle of writing a program, keeping evidence strong, meeting MTOP, QKLG and the NQF, and still making time for the children in front of you.
I trained at Swinburne — completing my Bachelor of Education Studies and an Associate Degree in Education — and my practice is grounded in trauma-informed training, which shapes the calm, strengths-based language you'll see across every pack.
"A structured Australian learning-cycle resource that helps educators turn children's interests into intentional, responsive and reflective programming."
The promise behind every pack
What I want for your room
Support at every level
Whether it's your first week in a room or your fifteenth year leading it, the resources meet you where you are — and stretch your practice further.
Meaningful activities
Every experience starts with what children are actually interested in, so the program feels real to them and shows your pedagogy to assessors.
A holistic lens
Play is extended — not replaced — with experiences that consider the whole child: wellbeing, identity, community, learning and communication.
Let's make programming lighter together
