Materials checklist

  • Chocolate buttons (allergy-checked)
  • Silicone moulds
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Thermometer
  • Timer
  • Recording sheet

Step by step

  1. Predict how long chocolate will take to melt.
  2. Educator melts chocolate in short bursts.
  3. Children record temperature changes.
  4. Pour into moulds and time setting in the fridge.
  5. Compare predictions with results.
